  • It is a chemical process applied to the brows to straighten the hair and set the brow hairs in place for an extended time. Think of it like a perm for your brows.

  • The brushed-up effect of brow lamination can last from 4-6 weeks. HOWEVER, you have to help it last. We recommend combing the brows in the desired direction every morning, and at night we recommend that you brush the brows with argan oil or castor oil.

  • We do not offer that at Habit Med Spa and strongly discourage combining treatments. It is just not healthy for the brows. We do love a good tint.

  • Yes. We like to tint one shade darker than your natural for a bold look that pops and defines the brows.

  • Brow lamination may not last for several reasons. One, if the aftercare is not followed. For example, you washed your face, and the brows got wet right after your service. Oops. Sweat can impact the lamination. Sleeping on your brows can impact the outcome. There is just so much that can impact your service. So, please follow the aftercare and call us with any issues. We want you to be happy with your service. It is what we strive for every time.

  • No, we do not recommend getting this service while pregnant or breastfeeding. Use a good brow gel!

  • Brow lamination is not suitable for thin brows or very short brows. It is also not suitable for someone who is experiencing any skin irritation, acne, eczema, sunburn, or inflammation.

  • Every 6-8 weeks, depending on the health of the brow hair.

  • We recommend using argan oil or castor oil to keep the brows moisturized. Brow lamination is a chemical process and can cause dryness, so we love to use oils to keep the brow hair healthy. A plus - the oil will stimulate brow growth!

  • We want you to wait at least 24 hours. No makeup, tanning, or moisture for the first 24 hours.

  • There is no downtime.

  • Treatment time will vary from 45 minutes to 60 minutes.

  • Nope, there is nothing painful about it.

  • Immediately! Depending on your brow growth cycle, they will last 6-8 weeks.

  • Yes, we ask that you remove your lenses before arriving.

    • Unruly brows, curly brows, or for those that love a thicker and more defined brow. Do not worry. We can also do a more subtle lamination. Just make sure your provider knows what you are expecting.

    • Discuss in detail what your expectations are for your brows with your provider.

    • Arrive without makeup.

    • We can’t perform the treatment if you have been on a steroid within seven days of your scheduled treatment.

    • Avoid using products or medications that contain retinol or any form of Vitamin A within seven days of your treatment.

    • We can’t perform the treatment if you are taking Accutane. You must be off Accutane for at least 12 months.

    • Notify your practitioner of any medications you have used within the last six months.

    • Before your treatment, notify your provider of any medical conditions, illnesses, and diseases.

    • Do not use lotions or moisturizers before treatment.

    • You may return to your normal daily activities immediately after your treatment.

    • Do not shower, swim, exercise, go to the sauna, or do any other activity, that makes the brows wet in the first 24 hours.

    • Avoid hot showers, steam rooms, saunas, or any other environment where the temperature is high for at least 24 hours. This will cause the brows not to lift and stay put.

    • Avoid shampoo, conditioner, facial cleanser, and skincare products from touching the brows for at least 24 hours after treatment.

    • Do not rub your brows.

    • Avoid sleeping on your face for at least 24 hours after treatment. This will impact the results of your lamination.

    • Sleep on a silk pillowcase!

    • Schedule a Brow Conditioning treatment four weeks after your Brow Lamination. This will keep the brows strong and healthy.

    • Use a moisturizing cream or oil after 24 hours. We recommend using argan oil or castor oil.

    • Comb your brows each morning in the desired direction.
